Transactional Analysis (TA) is a powerful communication model that helps educators understand how students think, feel, and respond—especially during conflict, stress, or impulsive moments.
TA breaks human behavior into three ego states:
Parent Ego
Behaviors and attitudes are shaped by various authority figures, including parents, social media, friends, and more.
These influences form the foundation of our values, morals, ethics, opinions, and beliefs.
Adult Ego
Self Aware of all “Ego States”
Where thinking and learning happens
Develops over lifetime
Child Ego
Our emotions and behaviors are often shaped during our childhood.
In stressful situations, we may revert to childlike behaviors, resembling of when we were children.
This activation can reveal how deeply ingrained these responses are.
